Deborah Abela

After training as a teacher, Deborah travelled to Africa, where she was trapped in a desert sandstorm, harassed by monkeys and thrown in jail twice. Since then, she’s become an internationally published and awarded author of 30 books including her climate change trilogy, Grimsdon, New City and Final Storm, and The Stupendously Spectacular Spelling Bee. Her latest books are the 2023 CBCA Notable Books, The Book of Wondrous Possibilities and The Kindness Project.
